In late 2015, SAAKA began as a project to create avant-garde luxury street wear which conceptually addresses the wide range of negative environmental and sociological issues caused by the fashion industry.

Using non-traditional production methods, organic and alternative natural fabrics and audience inclusive showings it aims to educate and challenge its audiences views on fast-fashion culture whilst offering itself as an ethical and environmentally friendly alternative.

SAAKA’s pieces are designed to be timeless and created to be long-lasting as well as being gender neutral and suitably worn by people of any age or body shape in the hopes that they may be loved, shared and passed down long before becoming waste.

SAAKA is based in Hobart, Tasmania where all pieces are made by hand.
